Newborn and Family Photo Shoots

posted in: Lifestyle, little ones, Maternity, New born | 0

Another busy half term comes to an end and it’s back to the school routine tomorrow… so Sunday night is all about reflecting on the wonderful time spent with my family and looking forward to planning more adventures for the future. A few weeks ago I posted a selection of my favourite photos from weddings over the past 12 months so tonight seemed like the perfect opportunity to post a few images from some family and newborn shoots.

I absolutely adore newborn and family photoshoots….capturing memories for people is such an honour. The shoots are always relaxed and fun, either at home or a special location. Last year I photographed several family reunions in gorgeous holiday cottages across Devon…which gave me a few ideas for holidays of my own! With Spring just around the corner now is a perfect time to book your family photo shoot in the sunshine…

If you would me to capture your own family or a special occasion, please do get in touch here xxx

Weddings 2017

posted in: bride, film, groom, wedding, wedding planning | 0

Okay… so confession time. The last 12 months have been a really busy time for me, both with my photography and teaching (plus 4 year-old twins running me ragged!) and although I’ve kept up to date with my Instagram and Facebook feeds my poor blog has suffered 🙁

Time to neglect it no more….so here is a little round up of a few of my favourite images from last year’s weddings. I shot at some amazing venues including Wellington Barn in Wiltshire, The Salcombe Harbour Hotel in Devon, The Great Barn on the edge of Dartmoor and The Folly Farm Centre in Bristol. I also did some awesome family shoots which I shall blog asap…promise 😉

Greer’s Family Photo Shoot

posted in: Uncategorized | 0

Last summer I had the pleasure of photographing Greer and her family at Frogmill BnB in Tedburn St Mary, Devon. Frogmill is a beautiful 17th Century thatched cottage nestled within 10 acres of stunning gardens, a perfect location for a relaxed family photoshoot.

Here are a selection of photos from the shoot…

Jodie and Ian, Orestone Manor

posted in: Uncategorized | 0

Jodie and Ian married at Orestone Manor in Torquay last summer and as soon as I met them a few weeks before I knew their wedding was going to be fun and it certainly didn’t disappoint.

There were plenty of laughs as Jodie prepared for her special day with her parents and bridesmaids, meanwhile down the hallway the groomsmen calmed their nerves with some pre-wedding shots! Jodie wore a beautiful lace gown and her bridemaids looked pretty in dusty pink dresses. The bridal party were treated to jewellery and cufflinks by local contemporary jewellery designers One and Eight

Orestone Manor is an intimate venue nestled in the rolling Devon hills just outside Torquay, with stunning grounds and the most amazing food ( I recommend the pork belly!)

Thanks Jodie and Ian for inviting me to share your special day with you x

Becky and Jesse, Kingscote Barn

I met Becky nearly 2 years ago when she was a bridesmaid for a couple of friends whose wedding I photographed. When she got in touch a few weeks later and asked me to photograph her own wedding to Jesse I was delighted.

Becky and Jesse chose the beautiful restored 17th century Kingscote Barn in the Cotswolds as their venue, with it’s stunning countryside views and scenery. Becky wore an elegant Jesus Piero gown and carried a beautiful pastel coloured bouquet by Jacaranda Flowers of Nailsworth. Jesse looked very dapper in a grey made-to-measure suit by Marc Wallace and teamed it with a skinny tie in a vintage floral print. Their four bridemaids wore pretty pale pink dresses from Coast.

The Kingscote Barn is an amazing wedding venue and literally a photographers’ dream- the nearby cornfield made an awesome backdrop for Becky and Jesse’s portraits and the couples’ eye for detail in their planning made my job a delight!

Thank you so much Becky and Jesse for inviting me to be part of your special day xxx

Laura and Luke’s Wedding at Cockington Church, Torquay, Devon

Laura and Luke married in July at Cockington Church followed by a reception at The Livermead Cliff Hotel in Torquay, which offers stunning sea views over Torbay. Laura chose a beautiful long-sleeved lace dress while the groomsmen and the couple’s 3 year old son wore blue suits.

We chose the secluded rose garden at Cockington Country Park as the perfect location for Laura and Luke’s portraits. Guests were treated to a BBQ, icecream van and tonnes of pic’n’mix to munch on. Thanks Laura and Luke for a fab day xxx

Georgie and Craig – Tunnels Beaches, Ilfracombe, Devon

posted in: bride, groom, Uncategorized, wedding | 0

When Georgie contacted me nearly 2 years ago saying “I’ve just seen you on Rock My Wedding and love your photos, they are beautiful” I just KNEW that I wanted to photograph her wedding day (and I did a little happy dance!) When I found out she was getting married at Tunnels Beaches in Ilfracombe, Devon I did a massive, crazy happy dance!

Georgie and Craig met at a gig and both share a love for live music, travel and Devon. Their wedding day was as amazingly beautiful as I had hoped; stunning sea views, mis-matched sparkly bridesmaids dresses and the most delicious cakes I have ever tasted. Guests relaxed in deckchairs and were treated to a BBQ, ice creams and a selection of homemade cakes.

Their wedding reflected their laidback personalities and was an absolute pleasure to photograph. Thanks again Georgie and Craig for choosing me to photograph your special day xxx

Sam and Dan’s Wedding at East Soar Outdoor Experience, Devon

posted in: bride, groom, wedding, wedding planning | 0

Sam and Dan married at East Soar Outdoor Experience in late May. The farm boasts stunning views of the South Devon coastline, many quirky barns, cute animals and camping on site for guests. Sam and Dan had hoped to have their ceremony outside, however in true British fashion the weather was appalling. I’m talking rain, more rain, mist, fog and wind! Despite the weather not being as Sam and Dan had hoped, their spirits were not dampened and the day was absolutely amazing!

The ceremony took place in an intimate barn, with a log burner and tonnes of fairy lights giving it a real cosy feel. Sam wore a vintage lace dress and carried a bouquet of wild flowers. After the ceremony guests were treated to food in a huge, light filled barn with wooden palettes displaying Sam’s photos and sketches adorning the walls.

The day ended with a disco, toasted marshmallows on the fires outside (once it stopped raining!) and guests tucked into the delicious wedding cake with edible daisies on it! Yum!

Congratulations Sam and Dan xxx
